Program Benefits

Benefits of Ortho-Preferred

Take advantage of the extra member benefits provided to Ortho-Preferred® members. In addition to the comprehensive professional liability insurance benefits provided through MedPro Group, Ortho-Preferred® members can take advantage of program benefits offered through DT Preferred Group, LLC, a risk purchasing group (RPG)*. These program benefits place a strong emphasis on education and risk management and bring more value to professional liability insurance for Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Ortho-Preferred® Program Benefits

Free Membership in a Regional Orthopaedic Association

As a member of the DT Preferred Group, LLC, RPG, you are awarded a complimentary membership in either the Eastern, Southern or Western regional orthopaedic association. Membership in the association of your choice provides Orthopaedic Surgeons with the opportunity to interact both professionally and socially while sharing clinical, medical, and patient care information relevant to daily practice, as well as the latest evidence-based research, developments, and techniques in the industry.

Discounted Association Annual Meeting Registration

The Annual Meeting provides a unique venue for scientific presentation and discussions that aren't possible at large national or subspecialty meetings. Meetings encourage the discussion of clinical information in an educational setting where common concerns are expressed and relevant experiences are shared. As a member of an association, Orthopaedic Surgeons receive a substantial discount on their Annual Meeting registration fees. On average, 24-30 CME credits are available at the Annual Meetings and members are invited to attend a free CME practice management symposium where top professionals present the leading practice management issues of the day.

Specialized Risk Management Courses

Complimentary risk management programs are provided to satisfy the annual mandatory risk management requirement for Ortho-Preferred®. The risk management program includes 6 CME credits and is specifically designed to address relevant topics for Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Complimentary CME and SAE Courses to Help Satisfy MOC® Requirements

A free continuing medical education (CME) and self-assessment examination (SAE) program is available to help satisfy maintenance of certification (MOC®) requirements (approximately 20 total credits) every three years. All programs are offered on topics that are applicable to Orthopaedic Surgeons and in a quality-driven manner for convenience.

Complimentary Subscription to Journal of Surgical Orthopaedic Advances and JSOA Online

The Journal of Surgical Orthopaedic Advances (JSOA) is a quarterly peer-reviewed publication that serves as a forum for exchange of information and the presentation of new techniques and procedures, as well as updates about the ongoing educational activities of interest to all practicing Orthopaedists. In addition to the complimentary subscription, each year Orthopaedic Surgeons can earn up to 24 free CME credits by taking and passing the accompanying tests provided with each issue.

*Any Orthopaedic Surgeon, having an active medical state license, may join the RPG and receive the benefits of the Program without purchasing professional liability insurance through the Program’s preferred carrier.
